Window Box Pottery Pendant
This pretty pendant is made of reclaimed see pottery from Seafield Beach in Kirkcaldy, Fife. It is set in a had sewn bezel of tiny glass beads depicting the growing plants outside a window. You can see the original back of the pottery surrounded by silver seed beads. This piece of pottery could have been in the sea for over 100 years before being transformed into an item of history to be worn and loved.
David Methven & Sons Pottery, also known as the Links Pottery, was a prominent pottery and brickworks in Kirkcaldy, Fife, Scotland, with a history spanning from the 18th century to the early 20th century. It stopped production in 1920. It was located near Seafield beach, and pottery shards and kiln waste from the works are often found washed up on the beach.
